Philippa Frisby

Director, Co-Founder

An independent filmmaker, Philippa began working in film and television straight after graduating from Bristol University with a degree in Comparative Religion.

Her early film work includes ‘The Tale of the Three Lost Jewels’ (1994), which is the only feature film ever to be shot in Gaza.

Philippa’s early TV work includes powerful pieces for ‘Dispatches’, Channel 4’s award-winning investigative current affairs programme, ‘The Torture Trail’ and ‘ Back on the Torture Trail ‘ which uncovered the secret trade in electro-shock batons, made by British companies and sold as torture weapons.

She also worked on ‘ The Saudi Tapes‘, a documentary made by the first television journalist to interview Osama Bin Laden. Shot in Afghanistan in 1996, five years before 9/11, it’s now regarded as an important historical film.

Philippa has just finished her second feature-length documentary for Indigo Eye Productions, (insert title here), shot in 2023.

In addition to her media work, Philippa has been teaching Iyengar yoga for xx years.

Shashank Sharma

Shashank was born in New Delhi, India. From an early age he was fascinated by the world of sound and images, having grown up in a family of media artists.

He completed his Bachelors and then decided to pursue his career in this field. He started working as a video editor in Delhi and assisted his father, a Radio Disc Jockey and commentator, learning through observation.

He went to film school to learn direction in Films and TV, and simultaneously taught himself cinematography and photography. He directed his first documentary film aged eighteen about a centre in Rishikesh, which empowers people with leprosy. He believes in working as a team and his relaxed and positive manner puts everyone at ease, while still being professional.

His work includes photography projects, several documentary films, animation, advertisements, films, music videos, short films and radio programmes.

Alok Mishra

Filmmaking is no less than a lighthouse for Alok. Fascinated by moving images from an early age watching movies on VHS tapes, he is now living a dream making them.

With an extended hands-on experience and wide-ranging knowledge of film and video projects, today he is ambidextrous with creative and production profiles from inception to completion. Skilled in directing, organising and coordinating shoots, he operates production equipment, conducts script writing, analysis and changes, along with being very competent at film and video editing.

His priorities comprise of designating and organising workloads to meet strict deadlines, training and supporting team members and, most importantly, establishing and maintaining strong work relationships with internal and external groups.

Alok strongly believes that learning is an endless process and every new project adds a new shade to his learning spectrum.
